During the construction of the various subway lines in Naples, has been promoted the Station Art project, which consists in decorating stations with sculptures, mosaics and decorative panels of famous contemporary artists.

This project has involved  great names of architecture, art and international  design, such as Karim Rashid , Nicola De Maria, Jannis Kounellis, Mimmo Paladino, Sol LeWitt, Mario Merz, Carlo Alfano, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Joseph Kosuth.
The interior of the station is embellished with 3 lenticular walls designed by Karim Rashid: Ikons, Mutalbolb Pink and Lime Mutalblob.
 
Ikons is a piece of 24 meters in width x 2.4 m in height,  the 3D effect and its changing of  color is the main characterisic.
 
Ikons is composed by  20 modular panels 1.2 m x 2.4 m.
Mutalblob Pink  and Lime are two works of 32 meters x 1.8 meters in height each, thanks to the 3D movements, the subjects change their color following the viewer’s movement.
